JINAN, CHINA, August 25, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- GWEIKE has expanded its industrial tube-processing portfolio with the TG-E Economical Series, a compact platform developed for small and mid-sized manufacturers that need reliable tube cutting without the space and operating requirements of a heavy-duty production system.
The new TG-E economical tube laser cutting machine is available in 6012 TG-E and 6016 TG-E configurations. Both models are designed around production factors that directly affect the cost of routine tube fabrication: remnant length, machine footprint, cutting stability near the end of the tube, ease of operation and compatibility with frequently processed tube sizes.
Addressing Material Waste in Tube Production
Material utilization becomes an important cost factor when a factory processes repeat batches of round, square or rectangular tube. On conventional systems, the chuck position can prevent the cutting head from reaching the final section of the tube. The unused section becomes a remnant that is difficult or impossible to convert into a finished part.
The TG-E uses a front-chuck overstroke structure that extends the accessible cutting area near the tube end. Depending on the material, tube dimensions and process configuration, the system can reduce the minimum remnant to as little as 30 mm.
The final section remains supported by two chucks during cutting. This dual-chuck arrangement is intended to limit unwanted tube movement and maintain a more stable process as the cutting head approaches the end of the material. The combination addresses both parts of short-remnant processing: reaching the final section and keeping the tube controlled during the cut.
A More Compact Production Layout
Factory floor space can limit the ability of smaller manufacturers to add new processing capacity. The TG-E integrates the electrical cabinet, laser source and pneumatic system into the machine structure instead of arranging them as separate external units.
According to GWEIKE, this integrated layout reduces the machine footprint by approximately 30 percent compared with its conventional layout reference. The smaller footprint is intended to make production planning and equipment transportation more manageable for factories adding tube-cutting capacity to an existing workshop.
An intelligent bus control system supports routine production functions, including flying cutting and drawing-free operation. These functions are intended to reduce preparation steps for suitable jobs while providing operators with a more straightforward daily workflow.
Two Configurations for Common Tube Sizes
The 6012 TG-E is configured for round tubes from 10 to 120 mm in diameter and square tubes from 10 × 10 to 120 × 120 mm. The 6016 TG-E extends the clamping range to round tubes from 10 to 160 mm and square tubes from 10 × 10 to 160 × 160 mm.
Both configurations are offered with 1,500W or 3,000W laser power options, an effective tube cutting length of 6,500 mm and a maximum load capacity of 80 kg per tube. The two-model structure allows manufacturers to select a chuck range based on the tube dimensions they process regularly instead of specifying the machine around an occasional oversized job.
